About

My name is Bryan Aulds, the founder of Officer’s Farewell. First off, a little background about myself. I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2007. I went through flight training in Corpus Christi and Milton and then flew MH-60S for the Tridents of HSC-9 for the maiden deployment of the USS GEORGE H W BUSH. I then went back to NAS Corpus Christi as a flight instructor with the World Famous Boomers of VT-27 flying both the T-34 (RIP) and the T-6. Following this I picked orders to Bahrain in order to be with my family. After 8 years of being in the military, this will be my last tour on active duty.

While going through the process of getting out I noticed that all the information about when and how the process works was all passed through word of mouth and was mainly based on scuttlebutt gouge. What was needed was a central place to go for all transition related information. Obviously the Navy was not going to be up to the task of providing a useful product in this regard, so I took it upon myself and Officer’s Farewell was born. I hope you find that it provides you with all the information you need, but if you find something missing please contact us here (link to contact page) and I will help you out to the best of my ability.
